Throughout a dominant display, England wrapped up one more win versus their opponents, with several players turning in notable displays throughout the game.

Starting Lineup

Dean Henderson Not a save to perform in the first half until called into action from Arbër Hoxha’s curled attempt. A sliding tackle on Qazim Laci showed sharp anticipation. Six out of ten

Jarell Quansah Tested against Albania’s primary attacker in their forward. Operated through the middle initially later drifted wider once a teammate came on. 7/10

The defender Pushed up the pitch when in possession, as he has done previously. On occasion lacked urgency on the ball and the experiment was shelved by the interval. 6/10

The tall defender A constant threat on corners and free-kicks, typically, could serve as a replacement for his teammate at the back rather than paired with him. One wayward ball after the break came close to the first goal for the visitors. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly One more confident display from the youngster after his initial appearance against another side. Saka did not capitalize on full advantage of a clever flick behind the Albania defence. The role is firmly his at this stage. 7/10

The newcomer His first start in an England shirt. Slightly loose when playing out but his whipped set-pieces caused problems. An effective tempo-setter for the coach to have versus defensive opponents. Cautioned for a rash tackle. 6/10

Declan Rice Crosses on corner kicks and set-plays were dangerous. Had room to roam on the left yet found himself offside when the ball arrived with a chance to score. Given a well-earned break on the hour mark. 6

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a forward role down the right while also put in defensive duties. Displayed flashes of quality and mishit an attempt over. Withdrawn late on by Rogers, his competition, after receiving a caution. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Had England’s clearest opportunity in the opening period, his strike smartly stopped by Thomas Strakosha. As a teammate holding position, it fell to him to stretch the play on the right but his crosses from wide areas were hit and miss. Replaced for the final quarter-hour. 6/10

Harry Kane The difference-maker with his seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes for his country. The first a trademark opportunist's goal while the second a superb header having drifted away away from the opposition. At 32, he’s only getting better and England are strong contenders in future competitions with him leading the line. 8/10

The attacker Found it tough to make an impact on the left flank. Had a decent opportunity when set up from a teammate however the keeper denied him. His replacement made much more of influence after coming on. Five

• Foden (replacing Rice 63) Was bright and combined effectively with the striker in a natural spot, 6
• Bukayo Saka (on for the winger 63) Missed opportunities although his set-piece created the opener, 6
• Rashford (for Bowen with 15 left) Active upon introduction assisting the captain's brace via an excellent ball to the far post, 7
• Anderson (for the midfielder in the 75th minute) Seems settled so soon, 6/10
• Morgan Rogers (replacing Bellingham with minutes remaining) Not enough time to affect things, 6
