Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage features live text for Sunday's games via multiple platforms, starting with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Also, audio coverage can be heard on select stations covering another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

It's week six of the football calendar , after last week's talk regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as possible championship contenders, they both surrendered their perfect starts.

Notable during those contests were the number of infractions each conceded. The Eagles did so at crucial times so they kind of beat themselves after leading by two touchdowns going into the fourth period against the Denver Broncos, who play overseas this weekend.

However it proved good to see that Denver's QB Bo Nix managed to overcome the shortfall and then lead three scoring drives in three attempts during the final period, securing the game by four points.

The Broncos have the top defender in CB their star corner. They are first in red zone defence, whereas Philadelphia are number one in scoring near the end zone, and the Broncos won that battle.

They had the Eagles' number regarding disguised blitzes. They did not necessarily sending extra pass rushers instead they could position two LBs in the 'A' gap then withdrawing them and dispatch a slot defender from the outside.

Early on in the campaign, we said on a program how the Broncos might emerge as this season's dark horses. They finished the previous year well then excelled of building upon that.

Are the Denver Broncos this year's dark horses?

New TE Evan Engram has excelled significantly and recent RB JK Dobbins is a player the team trusts. He's currently 5th in the NFL for rushing yards (402) as well as tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).

I love that the coach Sean Payton displays "RUN IT!" at the top of his playcall sheet.

This demonstrates how Denver are a team that wants to run first, because one can achieve much based on that approach. It reduces down the pass rush while maintains in favourable down and distances.

It's also helped quarterback Bo Nix, who came the NFL as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – just behind Justin Herbert in rookie records (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have the arm strength to pass anywhere, but they lack in the same way that Nix has. He boasts incredible passing ability, which is different, and he's so athletic.

His assets include his movement, the capacity to pass on the run, as well as finding different arm angles to make the pass when he rolls out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He is able to throw that layered pass over the middle or past defenders.

As a rookie QB, aged 25, he's got a lot of poise in the pocket and is not really fazed by extra rushers. He tries to avoid being tackled whenever possible and can pass under pressure. He possesses a high football IQ and is quick to decide.

If you constantly rush it consumes the clock and makes the defence to stay in play for longer, and when you have a mobile QB the defence has to defend the area vertically and horizontally. It can be exhausting.

The quarterback has pushed back with the coach on the sideline at times and it seems Payton likes that attitude, that he's a fierce rival. I think it's exciting for the coach to coach a rookie QB who's kind of like play-dough. He can really develop him the way he desires to build it. I think it's a special experience for him.

The head coach owns a championship and has surpassed a legend in all-time victories (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed it all. In my opinion the success Denver are having on offence is mostly due to his leadership, his schemes, his game sense – and the pairing with Nix helps make him into who he is.

There's no better a more qualified person in your ear, to assist you through difficult moments and boost self-belief.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet are they good enough to face an elite team at full strength? Since that was not a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Right now, it's unlikely the Broncos are elite. They're working better than most, which is a good place to hold their division. All they need is to continue this trajectory.

They excel at embracing their strength, which is running the ball, and this is exactly what they should do versus the New York Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.

New York have surrendered 140 yards on the ground each contest (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns so far (in the bottom ten), and they are the only team without a win any game.

Since the league started recording turnovers decades ago, the Jets are the inaugural squad to go without a single takeaway through five games, this is kind of shocking when you think that the head coach was previously a defensive coach with another team.

The Chiefs' QB stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' following Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

Following the upcoming matchup, the Broncos have a manageable slate until their bye (in week 12) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans and Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the AFC West, the Chiefs hold a losing record while Denver are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could make a run for the top of the division.

It depends upon what version of the Chiefs they face because the Broncos {beat|def
